Health Science graduate with a major in Nutrition and Food Studies.
My name is Maxine and welcome to my Plant Based Food and Lifestyle blog. My passion for Plant Based eating came after I finished treatment for Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia at the age of 21. After months of chemotherapy I was left feeling heavy, rundown and lacking energy. It was the power of plants that turned my health and mindset back on a positive path.
The health challenges I was faced with sparked my interest in pursuing a career in the health and wellness industry and can happily say that as of November 2018 I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Nutrition and Food Studies at Deakin University. I am also qualified in Plant Based Nutrition, having completed eCornells Plant Based Nutrition online course in February 2018 and am a Precision Nutrition level 1 Certified Coach.
Now that I have completed my studies, I am looking forward to what my future brings in the whole food plant based community. I wish to inspire, educate and promote the power of plant based living and the positive effects it can have on ones life.
