The warm mornings have had me craving something cool and refreshing so lately I've been reaching for a smoothie for breakfast! I've tried many different flavour combos but have finally found my favourite - cherry ripe! I very much encourage you to try this recipe... it's perfect for breakfast or as a meal after a hard workout!
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 frozen bananas
1 cup frozen pitted cherries
150g silken tofu
1-2 tbsp cacao powder or choc protein powder
1-2 tbsp flax seeds
1 cup almond milk (or any plant based milk)
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
Add more milk/water until you have reached your desired consistency (smoothie/smoothie bowl).
Top with a sprinkle of shredded coconut and cacao nibs.
